Habits are thoughts that you keep repeating, we’ve said it before and we will say it again. Your lifestyle is completely up to you, in your control, and within your power of making yourself the best version of you. So here are some tips to make new habits.

Tip #1

Pick one small habit that means the most to you, and start with that. start with it a few times a week and daily, don’t overwhelm yourself. 

Tip #2

Stop making excuses. Don’t think about it and talk yourself out of it. 

Tip #3

Make it convenient for you to do the “habit”, make it easier on yourself and for your brain to just do it, remove the obstacles and excuses. 

Tip #4

Stay consistent, but if you skip a day don’t throw yourself down for that but commit to doing it the next day. 

Tip #5

Remind yourself why you started this habit. Re-evaluate and re-adjust how this habit is working on your life or what you can do to improve it. 


Tip #6

Break it down into systems instead of just goals, remember the goal is the result and the system is the process of getting that result, your commitment to the process is what will lead you to the results. keep the focus on what you want. (Atomic Habits book talks more in depth about this)

Tip #7

Stop focusing only on external goals, like money, cars and houses, start thinking about internal goals, like happiness, better mental health. 

Think of the version of the person you want to be… think of what they do and most importantly WHY they are doing it, adapt those habits into your life. It’s never too late to start a new habit or a new goal, time will pass anyway, why don’t we make the most of it. Your choices right now will be the results later on.
